Revival On The Move
“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They shall spring up among the grass like willows by flowing streams.” Isaiah 44:3,4
This has been the very picture unfolding before my very eyes these past few nights in West Englewood. This is a neighborhood located in Chicago, Il. it is known to have one of the worst murder rates in the nation. The entire city of Chicago has been given the name “Chi-raq” a combination of Chicago and Iraq.In this neighborhood there is a daily battle against discouragement.
But God has given his mandate to his elect to shift the atmosphere. To decree a revival, to “call forth those things that are not as if they are” Romans 4:17.
The revival team has met under a tent each night and declared the name of Jesus Christ into the atmosphere and over the people. Each night has been a deposit of worship and ministry which has built upon the previous night. This is the breaker anointing at work! The spirit of trauma that has held this neighborhood and its resident’s captive has been confronted by the consistent prayer of the righteous as the sounds of worship have been released. As trauma has broke and freedom has been restored to the souls of the people the manifestation of Isaiah 61 has been revealed. “.. The opening of the prison to those who are bound” … and a “oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;”.
The miracle realm has opened up as the souls of the people have been restored. There is a tangible feeling of hope in the air as the spirit of despair has fled. Salvation and healing were the anthem under the revival tent last night as revival has broken the back of oppressor.
