The Importance of Words
“Death and life are in power of the tongue.” Proverbs 18:21
Something I recently read has lingered in my thoughts for days now. It left a mark in my heart and i have carried it in my mind as I have accepted the simple challenge that was offered by its author. “Think about how important words spoken were over the course of your life.”
I know very well about powerful words! I can still remember vividly certain words and the emotion they carried that have been spoken to me through different pivotal times of my life. It’s the power the word holds. Proverbs 18:21 describes this type of power, “Death and life are in power of the tongue”. I value the power of words and the truth of Proverbs 18:21 so much greater now as I have stepped into the realization of my assignment given to me by my creator. In a day and time when so many young destinies are being cut short and unfulfilled how much more should our words be used to restore or shape a life? Life is in the power of the tongue. Our words are our power tool! When I read that very simple challenge.” think about how important words spoken were over your life…” I visualized a nation. How important life affirming words are to a nation. How they can shift a nation when we declare “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done”. When we come into alignment with heaven and release with our words the end of darkness. this is the power of a spoken word. When I read those words that challenged me I saw a child. How powerful it is when I use words to declare a destiny to come forth and be completed in a young life.

Declare It
Recently I had this very experience. I had the privilege to look into the eyes of someone that felt so disappointed by life it brought a heavy spirit of hopelessness. I saw right through into the spirit and called life with my words. I declared that darkness cannot win, the gates of hell will not prevail, I declared a completed destiny through the mighty power that comes in the name of Jesus Christ. Life and resurrection power were won 2, 000 years ago through the sacrifice Jesus made. It was God’s gift to us and I will use my words to declare and release that victory into every Nation, Country, City, family and individual I encounter. It was words that challenged me this week and prompted me to continue on encouraging and exhorting with my words. Now I challenge you! Let us rise to our positions assigned to us and use what has been given to call forth the completion of destines in this next generation and the ones to follow.
Thank you everyone. Your giving means more lives healed, more lives restored and more lives saved. We pray you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
